Featuring 800v electric architecture and the ability to charge at up to 450kW on a DC fast charger, the new Zeekr 7X SUV can charge to 80 per cent in just 13 minutes in rear-wheel drive trim, or 16 minutes in either of its all-wheel drive setups.
By EV standards, that’s groundbreaking, and halves the charging time of most current electric vehicles. To be offered in three trim levels, including rear-wheel drive, long range rear-wheel drive and performance all-wheel drive, pricing starts from $57,900.
The additional models are available from $63,900 and $72,900 respectively – all plus on-roads. The 7X joins the X and 009, and is a premium electric five-seat SUV, and was revealed at a special unveiling at the Australian Museum in Sydney.
Created in Zeekr’s global design centre in Gothenburg, Sweden using SEA platform technology, the 7X has a sleek exterior form. The clean lines and sculpted surfaces are enhanced by slender LED headlights and full-length light clusters at the rear.
With a length of 4,787mm, height of 1,650mm, 2,900mm wheelbase, short overhangs and wheels up to 21-inches, it has dynamic proportions and a purposeful, confident stance. The combination allows a 539-litre boot, and 62-litre frunk (in RWD).

Inside, the Zeekr 7X offers the same amount of room as a full-size SUV and features such as electric front and rear doors, and heated and cooled front massage seats (offered on the performance AWD variant) enhance its premium feel.
Utilising Qualcomm’s 8295 Snapdragon chip, the digital cockpit offers an intuitive, immersive, seamless user experience. The ultra-slim 16-inch HD touchscreen is fast and responsive and the navigation system is better than ever.
The optional 36.2-inch augmented reality head-up display places key information directly in the driver’s line of sight. Complementing these smart technologies is a comprehensive suite of advanced driver assistance systems, facilitated by 12 cameras and one radar system.
Designed to support the driver, systems include moving object and pedestrian display in the instrument cluster or AR-HUD, adaptive cruise control, 3D digital surround view monitoring, front and rear cross traffic alert and full automatic park assist.
Over-the-air software updates will ensure that features continue to improve over time and new functionality can be added. On the road, Zeekr says the new 7X features an engaging balance of ride, handling, agility and the performance of an all-electric powertrain.

The rear-wheel drive and long-range models have a single 310kW/440Nm motor in the rear axle, delivering estimated range figures of 480km and 615km respectively.
The two light, compact electric motors integrated into the front and rear axles of the flagship performance model generate a total output of 475kW/710Nm. That makes for a 0-100km/h sprint in only 3.8 seconds.
Whenever the driver chooses to leave tarmac roads behind, the performance model’s all-wheel drive capability is further enhanced by an off-road mode that optimises powertrain and traction control systems to suit a range of surfaces.
Combined with active air suspension with continuous damper control, which increases ground clearance by up to 45mm, the performance model is suited to challenging driving conditions.
The new Zeekr 7X comes with a 7-year unlimited kilomentre warranty and 7-years roadside assist. The first 1000 buyers will also receive a 7kW home charger, Type 2 and mini-portable charging cables, and free interior and exterior colour options.
