Chinese car maker XPENG will showcase its P7+ electric sedan in Australia for the first time, at the Melbourne International EV Show this weekend (27-29 June). The AI-defined vehicle will sit alongside the G6, G9 and X9.
TrueEV, the exclusive retailer, importer and distributor of the brand down under, will debut the car, considered the brand’s flagship model, at its stand at the event. First unveiled at the Paris Motor Show late last year, the P7+ features an array of ground breaking tech.
Its advanced smart-driving and cockpit intelligence technology includes built-in Turing-powered ADAS with AI Hawkeye vision, enhancing safety and autonomous capabilities, as well as leading energy efficiency figures as low as 10km/kWh.
You’ll also find an X-GPT smart cockpit powered by Qualcomm 8295P chip, with voice-activated commands and multi-screen connectivity. Capable of sprinting to 100km/h in 5.9 seconds, it comes with performance-driven ride capability and advanced suspension.
The large sedan, expected to fill the void left by the Tesla Model S, has a claimed real world range of up to 725km.
“This flagship sedan represents XPENG’s leadership in AI-defined mobility alongside TrueEV’s commitment to bringing future-focused, electric vehicles to Australian drivers,” TrueEV CEO Jason Clarke said.
Joining the new model will be the G6 and luxury G9 SUVs, and the family-friendly X9 people mover. The XPENG G6 will also be available for test drives on-site. You can catch all of them at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre.
