Australia’s leading manufacturer of trucks and heavy machinery, Volvo Group, is lifting the lid on industry matters for everyday consumers; providing a local context to the voice on sustainability, e-mobility and innovation through a new podcast series.
Aimed at discussing and illuminating some of the biggest technology topics of our time, the Emerging Possibilities – Powered By Volvo Group Australia podcast is hosted by a panel of industry experts.
It features guests from Australia’s leading businesses and governing bodies representing a range of topics pertaining to the future of transport and the technological revolution already underway.
With more than 45 years local history and some 1,200 employees, Volvo Group Australia is uniquely placed as one of Australia’s leading vehicle manufacturers; building, servicing and selling an armada of transport and heavy machinery solutions nationally.
Having already produced over 70,000 internal combustion engine-powered trucks from its local production facility, in recent years Volvo Group has led the industry’s transition to becoming a provider of zero emission transport solutions.
It’s done this by offering a fleet of electric trucks and buses, currently in-use with some of Australia’s biggest brands and logistics providers.
Hosted by Volvo Group Australia’s PR and media manager, former automotive journalist Matt Wood, and e-mobility solutions manager, Tim Camilleri, the podcast aims to tackle topics Australian consumers want to know about, and how they affect day-to-day living.
“There’s no doubt the future of transport is already upon us, but how that impacts us has yet to be fully understood and, ultimately, appreciated,” Wood explained.
“The Emerging Possibilities podcast is all about giving listeners a broad church of opinions and discussion topics in an approachable, digestible way,” he added.
“While Volvo Group Australia has expertise as a leading e-mobility provider and sustainable business, the transition currently happening in the transport and innovation sector impacts all of us.”
The Emerging Possibilities podcast is available on all major podcast platforms, with the first two episodes currently airing. Episode one includes a conversation with Volvo Group Australia’s vice president of emerging technologies, Paul Illmer.
The CEO of the Electric Vehicle Council, Behyad Jafari, features in episode two. Future episodes in the series, covering new topics and guests, will follow regularly.
