Volvo confirms pricing for two-tiered EX60 lineup

Volvo Car Australia has announced local pricing and specifications for the latest member of its EV lineup, the mid-sized EX60, ahead of its Australian launch in late 2026. Blending the brand’s penchant for style, safety, and performance, two variants will be offered at launch.

Both promise over 600km range on a single charge. The Ultra P6 RWD kicks the range off at $86,990, while the Ultra P10 AWD is priced from $101,990 – both before on-roads. The entry level offering features 800-volt architecture and an 83kWh battery pack.

Volvo claims the P6 version will cover 610km per charge, along with a 0-100km/h sprint in 5.9 seconds, thanks to its single motor setup delivering 275kW and 480Nm. The P10 boasts headline performance figures of 375kW of power and 710Nm of torque.

That translates to 0-100km/h in just 4.6 seconds. Fitted with a 95kWh battery pack, Volvo claims 660km range. The catch, however, is that those range estimates are based off the WLTP test cycle, which typically overestimates real-world range figures for EVs.

Regardless, the EX60 still promises an attractive package. Wearing the brand’s typically Scandinavian design principles, its range and performance is enhanced by its slippery 0.26 drag coefficient.

Both variants ride on 21-inch Gloss Black and Matt Graphite five-spoke diamond-cut alloy wheels. Eight colours are on offer including two brand new hues, Forest Lake (as seen in the pictures) and Heather Bronze.

Built on Volvo’s new EV-specific SPA3 platform, replacing the SPA2 platform that underpins the three-row EX90, the innovations under the bodywork are worth mentioning. The list includes cell-to-body technology, and in-house developed electric motors.

There’s also a new battery cell design, while the new platform is more modular and scalable than previous iterations. It’s also safer. Featuring HuginCore, the car’s new central computing system, means entire features can be installed via over-the-air updates.

That includes new safety features, faster charging, and recalibrations that increase driving range. The car’s safety shell has also been strengthened with boron steel, while the brand’s new multi-adaptive safety belt that adapts to occupant size and seating position features.

Inside, both trim levels boast a 28-speaker Bowers & Wilkins audio system, with headrest speakers in all four main seats, and Apple Music pre-installed. Dolby Atmos delivers an immersive spatial audio experience.

An electrochromic panoramic roof, rear privacy glass, and integrated child booster cushions are standard, while the Ultra P10 also adds ventilated Nappa leather upholstery and active suspension.

When it launches locally in late 2026, the EX60 will come with a 10-year battery warranty, alongside the brand’s usual 5-year unlimited kilometre vehicle warranty.
