Volkswagen offers fully optioned Golf GTI

The latest Volkswagen Golf GTI has everything, well except maybe the kitchen sink, with the German car maker ticking all the option boxes to deliver its most complete hot hatch ever, and all for a drive away price from $59,990.

For a limited time, the Golf GTI will include the Luxury Package (previously a $4,000 option) and Sound & Style Package (previously a $2,600 option) as standard, representing as much as a $7,990 reduction, depending on location.

It combines a 180kW and 370Nm 2.0-litre turbocharged four cylinder engine with a 7-speed direct shift gearbox, with power fed to the front wheels. A vehicle dynamics manager incorporates a front diff lock, extended electronic diff lock, and Sport ESC.

That combination also scores adaptive cruise control, along with a comprehensive safety setup that includes LED headlights with automatic high-beam, front assist with oncoming vehicle braking when turning, and side assist with rear traffic alert.

Lane, travel, park and emergency assist, an exit warning system, and nine airbags also feature. Inside, the stylish Innovision Cockpit (Discover Pro 10.0-inch infotainment with satellite navigation and Digital Cockpit Pro digital cluster) takes pride of place.

Wireless App-Connect, wireless charging and keyless access complete the setup, while the Luxury Package adds a panoramic glass sunroof, Vienna leather appointed upholstery, heated and ventilated front seats, and an electric driver’s seat with memory.

A heated steering wheel is included, with the Sound & Style Package adding 19-inch alloy wheels, a head-up display and Harman/Kardon premium audio system. The 2024 Volkswagen Golf GTI is backed by a 5-year unlimited kilometre warranty.
