SPORTIER and street ready, that’s the call for the new special edition of the turbo boosted 2016 Veloster Series II sports car.
To be known as the Veloster Street Turbo Special Edition, with a limited run of just 200 cars , the Street edition of the Veloster will feature RAYS Gram Lights alloy wheels and exclusive Dazzling Blue exterior paint with Phantom Black exterior highlights enhance the new Veloster Street Turbo’s exclusivity, with Australian-tuned suspension and handling and $3,000 worth of additional add-ons (over and above the Veloster Series II SR Turbo +).
As well as a raft of Phantom Black exterior bits (spoilers, skirts, and grille among others), the complete Street oriented package also includes Xenon headlights, unique floor mats with embroidered Street logo and blue stitching, and front guard Street badges.
Like the Veloster Series II SR Turbo +, the Special Edition incorporates sports instrumentation, 7-inch LCD touchscreen Satellite Navigation with CD player, MP3 functionality and Sat Nav Update Plan, a Panoramic glass sunroof, climate-control air-conditioning with auto defog function and a wealth of other desirable features.
The Street Turbo Special Edition’s 1.6-litre Turbo GDi four-cylinder Gamma engine produces 150kW of power and 265Nm of torque, with a twin-scroll turbocharger, Dual Continuously Variable Valve Timing, electronic throttle control, roller timing chain, variable induction and innovative anti-friction coatings, with the punchy powerplant married to either a six-speed manual or 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.
The six spped manual will hit the road at $34,990 while the DCT seven speed is $37,490 (plus on-roads of course).
