EVERY year, Australian Reader’s Digest conducts an independent poll to find Australia’s most trusted brands. This year, for the first time, the results include a tyre brand in the top 10.
That same tyre brand, Bridgestone Australia, has also been named as the most trusted tyre brand in the country for the fifth consecutive year.
“Bridgestone has earned the trust of Australian motorists, and we will take every step to ensure we are continually building on that trust,” said Bridgestone Australia and New Zealand Managing Director, Andrew Moffatt.
The Reader’s Digest Most Trusted Brands survey is conducted by research firm Catalyst, and saw nearly 2,500 respondents in the 2018 appraisal across 70 categories.
Insights from the survey showed reputation, reliability and quality were key driving factors in building trust in the tyres category.
According to Reader’s Digest Advertising & Retail Director for the APAC region, Sheron White, Bridgestone is deserving of the trust it has gained from the Australian public because of its ongoing commitment to safety.
“Congratulations to Bridgestone. The safety of you and your family is important and so are the brands we trust to keep us safe,” Ms White said.
“In 2014 we recognised that safety on our roads is a must and developed the ‘Tyre’ category for Trusted Brands. As sequential winners of this category since its inception, Bridgestone has been identified a top brand that Australians place their trust in.”
Bridgestone invests in excess of $800 million per year globally in research and development to deliver superior car, SUV, 4×4 and commercial vehicle tyres.
It’s interesting to note that just one hand print of tread per tyre makes contact with the road surface, highlighting the importance of quality tyres when it comes to keeping families safe.
