UPDATED: Toyota expands GR range with launch of C-HR GR Sport

TOYOTA will launch its first GR Sport model in Australia when the C-HR GR Sport goes on sale in late November, with the introduction of the new model coming off the back of huge demand for the GR Yaris.

The new offering will help Toyota deliver on its promise of offering customers a growing range of exciting, stylish performance cars under the banner of TOYOTA GAZOO Racing.

“When we launched our GR performance brand last year with the GR Supra, Toyota hadn’t had a serious high-performance sports car in its line-up for 17 years, but together with the new GR Yaris that arrives next month, we are well and truly back on the performance track,” Toyota Australia VP of sales and marketing Sean Hanley said.

“The new C-HR GR Sport is exactly that, offering customers greater driving enjoyment and bold purposeful styling that deliver the exhilarating feeling at the heart of all GR products,” Hanley said.

“And just like the dedicated GR cars, the performance-enhanced GR Sport models are inspired by the lessons and technology derived from Toyota’s championship-winning motorsports program.”
