IN a market now significantly overcrowded with offerings (Peugeot and Holden the latest to throw new models on the table), China’s leading SUV manufacturer has launched its latest assault on the Australian market with the new HAVAL H6 medium SUV.
With one of the more powerful engines in its class (145kW of power and 315Nm of torque from its turbo charged 2-litre engine and six speed DCT gearbox), European styling, a long list of standard features and razor-sharp pricing, the new HAVAL H6 will offer two model variants – the Premium and the LUX (which is the top of the line variant).
The long list of standard features in the Premium redefines the term ‘entry level’, including 17-inch alloys, dual zone climate control, keyless entry and start, front and rear parking sensors, rear view camera and blind spot monitoring, hill start and hill descent assist.
Moving up to the LUX gets youheated Comfort-Tek seating front and rear, a huge panoramic sunroof, 19-inch alloys and adaptive Xenon headlamps, an 8-way power adjustable driver’s seat, a better sound system and curbside cameras for improved parking.
It will launch at a special drive away price of $29,990 for the Premium and $33,990 for the LUX. The HAVAL H6 will come standard with a five-year, 100,000km warranty and five years’roadside assistance.
