Subaru unveils next generation Forester

Due to arrive down under mid-year, the 2025 Subaru Forester will feature the car maker’s next generation hybrid platform among an array of options. It will bring a host of new tech and a refreshed design too.

The first vehicle to score the new powertrain, the Forester Hybrid integrates a 2.5-litre Subaru Boxer engine and electric motors with symmetrical all-wheel drive, retaining the SUV’s capability, low centre of gravity and handling, while adding enhanced range.

It will feature EyeSight driver assist technology, a tablet-style Subaru 11.6-inch multimedia system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster (on selected variants).

X-Mode dual mode with hill descent control, active torque vectoring and vehicle dynamics control all feature, along with a 220mm ground clearance.

“Inspired by six generations of adventure this next generation Forester features a bold rugged design, with the confidence of Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive and renowned X-Mode,” Subaru Australia general manager Scott Lawrence said.

“It’s built to take you from city streets to untamed trails with ease. Its revolutionary design brings advanced safety and immersive in-car technology and enhanced all-terrain capability.”

Further details will be released closer to the 2025 Subaru Forester’s Australian launch. In the meantime, those interested in staying informed can register their interest at www.subaru.com.au/register-your-interest/all-new-forester.
