Subaru opens pre-orders for next-gen Impreza

Order books have opened on the sporty, versatile, and fun to drive, new Impreza hatch, with Subaru anticipating the arrival of the 2024 model this December. Completely redesigned, the sixth iteration of the popular model will be offered in three variants.

Priced from $31,490, customers will be able to choose from the AWD 2.0L, AWD 2.0R and AWD 2.0S. It’s powered by a proven direct injection 2.0-litre Boxer engine, paired with a Lineartronic transmission with an 8-speed paddle shift manual mode.

This dynamic combination ensures a smooth and nimble driving experience, with sublime handling characteristics thanks to Subaru’s symmetrical all-wheel drive’s renowned handling prowess.

“The 2024 Impreza offers superior handling in all conditions, a sporty hatchback design, the latest in Subaru’s safety tech, and of course reliability and retained value,” Subaru Australia managing director Blair Read said.

“The perfect daily driver, a weekend ski trip car, or for country road trips, Impreza offers versatility for the adventures that Subaru owners demand of it.”

An improved Subaru Global Platform (SGP) instils a sense of confidence, bolstering cabin strength while delivering a quieter, more comfortable ride. Safety too is a feature of the new Impreza.

All variants come equipped with the latest generation Subaru EyeSight driver assist system with an improved stereo camera and a new wide-angle monocular camera. These features combined to provide a significantly wider field of view and speed sign recognition.

A lane Centring function is now also included, as well as the Driver Focus monitoring system, to further reduce the chance of accidents. Some nine SRS airbags help ensure the vehicle is well-equipped to better protect occupants in the event of a collision too.

Inside the new Subaru Impreza, a carefully redesigned cabin includes an impressive 11.6-inch portrait-oriented infotainment touchscreen, allowing for intuitive control of various multimedia functions.

Additionally, the sixth generation Subaru Impreza boasts wireless smartphone charging, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity3, with both USB-A and USB-C ports on offer.

All 2024 Subaru Impreza variants feature a smart key and push-start ignition, LED headlights with auto off (dusk-sensing) and power-folding door mirrors. The AWD 2.0R and AWD 2.0S score front cornering lamps and high beam assist.
