Subaru Australia will celebrate the 10th birthday of the enthusiast’s favourite rear-wheel drive sports coupe, the Subaru BRZ, with the release of a limited-run 10th Anniversary Special Edition ‘S’ variant.
The limited-edition 10th Anniversary BRZ will be available exclusively in Subaru’s signature WR Blue, and will feature unique exterior and interior styling elements, including an exclusive blue and black interior theming.
There will also be a commemorative 10th Anniversary embossed logo inside the cabin. Subaru’s new generation BRZ has received phenomenal interest from enthusiasts across the country since its arrival, haloed as affordable fun, offering epic rear-wheel thrills.
“It’s hard to believe a decade has passed since the first BRZ launched in Australia,” Subaru Australia managing director Blair Read said.
“Bursting on the scene in 2012, Subaru BRZ offered, and continues to offer, an attainable rear-wheel drive pure sports car that delivers truly engaging handling and a fun drive,” he added.
“Due to these renowned credentials, it has created a loyal following amongst owners and enthusiasts, so we are thrilled to confirm the 10th Anniversary Special Edition ‘S’ BRZ is bound for Australia to celebrate this iconic car.”
Exhaust Notes Australia has reviewed the standard S spec of the new BRZ, in both 6-speed manual and 6-speed torque converter automatic form. The new model is powered by a 2.4-litre flat four Boxer engine, developing 174kW of power and 250Nm of torque.
