smart #5 officially launches in Australia

Premium EV brand smart has officially launched its #5 SUV in Australia. Pricing kicks off at $58,900 for the Pro+ variant, with the highly equipped Premium+ at $63,900 and the high-performance BRABUS edition at AU$73,900 (all plus on-roads).

Beyond its striking presence on the road, the smart #5 enters the Australian market as a proven world-class offering, having won multiple awards overseas. Styled by the Mercedes-Benz global design team, it introduces a distinctive boxy and upright silhouette.

A striking LED matrix headlight design, and an interior layout that maximises space feature, including an expandable boot, and seats that fold flat to create an in-car suite, ensuring ample room for everyday commutes and weekend getaways.

A multiple-screen interactive setup, powered by the advanced AMD V2000 high-computing chip delivers what has to be one of the coolest digital displays on the market. An immersive acoustic experience is delivered through a premium Sennheiser audio system.

Driving confidence is further enhanced by a smart Pilot Assist system, while its 100kWh battery with 4C capability and 800V high voltage platform mean charging is possible in as little as 18 minutes (from 10 to 80 per cent).

An impressive range of up to 590km sets it apart from rivals. Ride comfort and dynamic handling are assured through a sophisticated chassis setup featuring front double-wishbone and rear five-link suspension, complemented by multiple driving modes.

To further support outdoor utility, the vehicle features Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) functionality, empowering off-the-grid adventures. For those seeking the pinnacle of electric driving dynamics, the smart #5 BRABUS edition takes performance to the extreme.
