ŠKODA’s Superb Sportline and Scout bring new features for 2021

ŠKODA’s Superb Sportline sedan and wagon return next month after a prolonged absence, with an array of new standard features. Its Scout 4×4 sibling is no longer a limited edition; the 2021 model sporting new updates and a detachable tow bar.

For the 206 TSI Sportline, the list of updates includes wireless phone charging and wireless Apple CarPlay, matrix LED headlights and a virtual cockpit, along with animated rear indicators, and ŠKODA’s keyless access system.

Also included is predictive pedestrian protection, the MIB III Columbus infotainment system, a new steering wheel, and extended side assist.

The sedan and wagon retain the 2.0-litre direct injection turbo petrol four cylinder engine offering 206kW and 350Nm, driven through all four wheels. Pricing starts at $62,990 (drive away) for the sedan and $64,900 (drive away) for the wagon.

Meanwhile, the Superb Scout, the extra urban wagon with raised ride height and distinctive side cladding, released early this year, also makes a welcome return for next year. It too retains its 200kW drive train.

The 2021 ŠKODA Superb Scout 200 TSI 4×4 starts from $63,990 (drive away), and features a new 3-spoke design (flat-bottom) sports multifunctional steering wheel, and upgraded MIB III Columbus infotainment unit.

Wireless Apple CarPlay, and that detachable tow bar we mentioned earlier, are also included. Optional extras across the entire range include metallic paint and a panoramic sunroof. Alternative alloys and upholstery can also be chosen.

ŠKODA’s 2021 Superb 162 TSI sedan and wagon are scheduled to follow early in quarter one next year, with full specifications and pricing for that model to be released shortly.

Running costs on ŠKODA’s Superb range can be further reduced with the purchase of a new car service pack covering the vehicle for five years, while a used car service pack (covering four years) can be bought any time after the first 15,000km scheduled service.

All new ŠKODAs are covered by a five year unlimited kilometre warranty.
