Savic Motorcycles launches crowdfunding campaign

Australia’s leading electric motorcycle manufacturer, Savic Motorcycles, is giving passionate riders a unique opportunity to join the company’s equity crowdfunding campaign, offered in partnership with Equitise.

Since 2016, Savic Motorcycles has been pushing the boundaries of electric motorcycle technology and design from its base in West Melbourne, winning a clutch of awards and recognition from electric vehicle advocates around the world.

The crowdfunding will enable customers and local riders to join Savic on their mission to deliver Australian bikes to the world, with the campaign to fund the production of the first 100 units of its C-Series electric café racer.

It’s a bike that has earned praise from some of Australia’s top motoring writers, as well as four major design awards in the run-up to securing regulatory compliance from the Federal Government late last year.

Funds from the campaign will also support the launch of international exports for the Melbourne manufacturer, which has attracted global attention for its stunning machine

Producing more than 200Nm of torque and accelerating to 100km/h in 3.5 seconds, the C-Series has a 16.2kWh battery that can be plugged into any home socket.

The company already has ‘pre-order’ commitments from more than 250 motorcyclists who want to buy its first bike, equating to more than $6 million in future revenue.

Starting from $19,990 ride away for the entry-level model, Savic’s mission is to provide competitively-priced, high-performance bikes direct to customers. Its funding campaign will allow investors to secure shares and play an active role in the next stage of its growth.

“Demand for our motorcycles is growing, and with more than 250 pre-orders, we want to scale up manufacturing to deliver our bikes to Australian riders, as well as bringing our premium products to new riders around the world,” CEO and founder Dennis Savic said.

“We have big plans for the future and we know our customers and supporters are as passionate about what we do as we are, and we want them to share in our company’s future success, which is why we’ve chosen to open an equity crowdfunding round.”
