Challenging convention, pushing the limits, leading the field. All phrases associated with helmet maker Ruroc and its Atlas 4.0 lid. Now they’ve gone one step further, creating a Track version.
Focussed purely on performance, and using the Atlas 4.0 as its foundation, the new Track model has been optimised for speed and performance, and features a new T300 lightweight carbon fibre shell.
Representing a 15 per cent saving over the weight of the road-going version, the new helmet was developed in association with 2016 British Superstock Champion, Taylor Mackenzie, and has undergone extensive testing on track, in real world conditions.
Development of crucial items such as an upper visor seal to deal with the extreme differences between internal and external temperatures on track have been honed, along with the adoption of a track approved DD-ring chinstrap.
Both ensure full track certification, along with offering optimised aerodynamics. A moisture-wicking performance interior also features, and most importantly, the Atlas 4.0 Track boasts ACU Gold, ECE 22.06, and DOT FMVSS 218 certification.
Each helmet ships with a clear and tinted visor, plus a Pinlock 120XLT. It wil be available in five colours, including Core (Black), Inferno Red, Ice Blue, Titan Gold and Viper Green. The Atlas 4.0 Track will go on sale from 4am, Tuesday May 18 (Australian time).
Local pricing will be announced at the same time it goes on sale, and will make its public debut at Round Three of the British Superbike Championship at Donington Park from May 19-21. It’s available exclusively online at www.ruroc.com.
