Revamped 2020 Jeep Compass range arrives in Australia

AN expanded 2020 Jeep Compass range has been launched, with the introduction of the Night Eagle and range topping S-Limited. The new models join the Limited and Trailhawk variants to complete the line-up.

The new Compass Night Eagle is the entry level model, and is powered by a 2.4-litre Tigershark petrol engine, with a six speed automatic transmission. It’s the only front-wheel drive in the range as well.

It comes standard with blind spot monitoring, rear cross path detection, forward collision warning, rear park assist, and a reversing camera. Sleek black chrome appointments don the exterior.

A standard 8.4-inch Uconnect touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto features in the cabin. Sitting above it is the Limited, sporting the same power plant, paired with a nine speed auto and four-wheel drive.

This variant adds lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control and a power tailgate to the specifications of the Night Eagle. It also scores premium black leather seats and an impressive 9-speaker sound system.

The Jeep Compass S-Limited gains 19-inch Granite alloy wheels, black leather seats with Tungsten accent stitching, Granite Crystal exterior accents, a dual pane panoramic sunroof, black interior headliner, and a black exterior roof.

Buyers can also opt to switch from the standard Colorado Red of the S-Limited to Vocal White, Brilliant Black and Minimal Grey.

For those looking for a more aggressive off-roader, the Trailhawk offers unrivaled 4×4 capabilities thanks to Jeep’s active drive low 4×4 system, Selec-Terrain with ‘rock’ mode, and off-road suspension.

Sporting a 2.0-litre multi-jet diesel, the Jeep Compass Trailhawk also features raised ride height, and pickups up remote start, a unique front and rear fascia, a full-size spare wheel, all-weather floor mats and reversible cargo mat.

In addition, it adds red tow hooks, hill descent control, four under body skid plates, a black anti-glare hood decal, neutral grey exterior accents and premium paint options, inlcuding Vocal White, Brilliant Black, Grey Magnesio, Mojave Sand and Minimal Grey.

Jeep Australia has also added a new capped price servicing program, priced at $399 for the first five services. Pricing for the 2020 Jeep Compass range starts at $36,950 plus on-road costs.
