THE 2022 Renault Arkana has a new range topping model, with the arrival of the R.S. Line, boasting unique sports styling, both inside and out, to give a dynamic edge to the nameplate.
“Strategic additions like the Arkana R.S Line are a clear nod to our sporting heritage and allow us to continue to grow the brand ahead of other new models we have coming,” Renault Australia general manager Glen Sealey said.
The R.S. Line adds a suite of sporty design elements over and above the already well-specified Intens model, including 18-inch diamond-cut alloys, a specific front bumper design with an F1-inspired aero blade, and badging.
Gun metal grey door trims and front and rear skid plates also feature. Inside, Renault’s racing heritage continues to be acknowledged with R.S. Line door sills, carbon-look interior trim, and alloy sport pedals.
A perforated leather steering wheel with R.S. Line badging, and red and grey contrast stitching are also included. Additional variant specific specs include a fully digital 10.25-inch instrument cluster, frameless auto-dimming rear-view mirror, and a sunroof.
Powering the R.S. Line is the proven 1.3-litre petrol TCe petrol engine, delivering 115kW and 262Nm. Euro 6 compliant, it sips just 6.0-litres/100km. A full suite of the latest passive and active safety measures also features.
The list includes active emergency braking with vehicle, cyclist and pedestrian detection, adaptive cruise control with stop and go function, and rear cross-traffic alert. The 2022 Renault Arkana has a 5-star ANCAP safety rating as well.
The French car maker’s unique 5-year Easy Life ownership program sees an unlimited kilometre warranty, roadside assistance and capped price servicing for that time period.
The 2022 Arkana range kicks off with the Zen, at $34,590, with the Intens from $38,590 and the new R.S. Line at $42,090. All prices are plus on-roads.
