Quattroporte GTS GranSport Nerissimo lands in Australia

ALREADY renowned for the individuality of its cars, Maserati has taken exclusivity to a new level with the 2018 Maserati Quattroporte GTS GranSport Nerissimo Edition – there are just 50 worldwide and only five in Australia.

And, if you are in any doubt – the rarity of the Nerissimo Edition is certified by the plaque on the centre console that states “Nerissimo Edition One of 50”, sitting atop some of the carbon fibre which is liberally spread inside and out across this car.

It’s special, even by Maserati standards, and the Quattroporte GranSport GTS Nerissimo Edition embodies the excitement of urban night and enhances the aesthetic sportiness of the model.

Luxuriant Nero Ribelle paint combines with black piano finishing on the front grille, inserts on bumpers and rear extractor to create a truly unique statement. Also getting clothed in black are the window surrounds, exhaust pipes and vertical grille bars.

The vehicle also features front and rear sport bumpers, body-colour side skirts, 21-inch glossy black Titano wheels, anodised red painted brake calipers and an exterior carbon package that extends from the front splitter, through the door mirrors and door handles, b-pillar trim to the rear splitter.

Inside, there are 12-way power sport seats, full premium black leather upholstery with red stitching (with red embroidered trident on the headrests), gearshift paddles and door sills, a sport carbon steering wheel, carbon trim and an Alcantara headliner.

Comfort is completed by four-way split ventilation with a full set of controls for the rear passengers.

The Maserati Quattroporte GranSport GTS Nerissimo Edition is powered by the flagship 3.8-litre V8 engine that is the perfect representation of Maserati’s performance tradition.

The engine produces 390kW (530hp) of power and 650Nm of torque, with an over-boost feature taking that figure to 710Nm during acceleration.

These engine figures help the Quattroporte to reach 100km/h in just 4.7 seconds, making it the fastest accelerating four-door car in Maserati’s history, with a top speed of 310km/h, second only to the mighty MC12 with a V12 engine.

The unique Maserati Quattroporte GranSport GTS Nerissimo Edition is priced at $371,990 plus statutory charges, dealer costs and delivery.
