THE next generation ZS EV is set to consolidate MG Motor Australia and New Zealand’s position as a leader in the affordable electric vehicle space when it launches in July this year.
A comprehensive styling makeover, a completely new interior treatment and a new, more efficient, and better-performing powertrain are just some of the enhancements for Australia’s best-selling electric SUV, which will go on sale from $46,990 drive away.
Customers will be able to choose from two variants, with the new value-led Excite complementing the stylish, luxurious Essence.
Both will feature a high-specification 51kWh high-voltage battery that provides up to 320km of range, and an updated electric motor and enhanced battery management electronics.
Both will also have a 7.0-onch virtual cluster dash, and a brand new floating 10.1-inch infotainment screen.
The exterior redesign is clean, stylish and modern, punctuated by 21-module LED auto-dimming headlights and nine-module LED taillights, milled 17-inch alloy rims and a unique grille-less front visage that conceals an updated Type 2 charging port.
MG Pilot will provide the new ZS EV with a complete set of active driver safety aids, including Intelligent high beam control, autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, emergency lane keeping, speed assistance, and more.
