Porsche unveils its icon-inspired Cayenne Coupé Electric

Inspired by the iconic shape of the 911, the new Porsche Cayenne Coupé Electric combines powerful proportions with exceptional e-performance. Visually and technically, they are among the most emotive cars in the SUV segment.

At launch, there will be three drive variants, with up to 850kW on offer. Making its debut at Auto China 2026 in Beijing, the new Cayenne Coupé variants feature an adaptive rear spoiler and a flush mounted rear window.

The coupé shape helps to reduce drag, while an active aerodynamics system with moving cooling flaps, delivers a range up to 669km (WLTP – based on European model).

At 4.98m long and 1.98m wide, it’s the same length and width as its SUV sibling, allowing for a boot capacity ranging from 534 to 1,347–litres, and a front luggage compartment that holds an additional 90-litres.

The rear seating, available in either a two-seat or 2+1 layout, is electrically adjustable in two ways. As with the SUV, a towbar, and a towing capacity of up to 3.5-tonnes, is available, as well as a rugged off road package.

The model range includes the Cayenne Coupé Electric, producing 300kW (325kW for launch control, with a 0-100km/h sprint time of 4.8 seconds. It will be priced at $173,600 plus on-roads in Australia. It’s joined by the S Coupé Electric.

That variant produces 400kW (490kW with launch control), and drops the sprint time by a full second. It will be priced at $194,600 plus on-roads.

The range topping Turbo Coupé Electric produces 630kW (and the aforementioned 850kW under launch conditions), allowing for a sprint to 100km/h in 2.5 seconds. It will be priced from $272,100 plus on-roads. The lineup of suspension systems matches the SUV.

The Coupé features adaptive air suspension with Porsche active suspension management as standard. For the S Coupé Electric and Turbo Coupé Electric, active ride active suspension is offered as an option. Rear-axle steering can also be added.

Thanks to 800-volt technology, the Cayenne Coupé Electric charges at up to 390kW using a suitable DC fast charger and, under specific conditions, even at up to 400kW. The standard on-board charger supports AC charging at speeds up to 11 kW.

The Cayenne Coupé Electric adopts the Porsche driver experience of the SUV, including a digital and driver-oriented operating concept. This includes a digital instrument cluster, a passenger display and an AR head-up display (the latter is optional).

Digital and analogue controls complement customisable display themes and the integration of third-party apps. A panoramic glass roof, optionally available with an electrically switchable liquid crystal film; and a Sport Chrono package, offer extensive choices.

A Coupé-specific Lightweight Sport package can reduce the car’s weight by up to 17.6kg by adding a lightweight carbon roof, sporty carbon inserts, 22-inch wheels and high-performance tyres.

Inside, sporty elements feature heavily too, and include seat centre panels trimmed in classic Pepita pattern cloth, a Race-Tex headliner and matt carbon surfaces. As an option, the Lightweight Sport package can also be combined with black leather upholstery.
