Order books are set to open for the 2024 Nissan Z NISMO, with the special edition variant limited to 100 examples for its first delivery run. It will be priced at $94,000 plus on-roads and features increased power and torque.
The reservation system will work in partnership with Nissan’s dealer network, which will assist in preparing and delivering every vehicle, with those already awaiting Coupe and Proto orders given first choice (from today – 7 August 2023).
At 11am AEST on Thursday 10 August, the Z NISMO reservations at Nissan.com.au will open, and taken on a first come, first served basis and are subject to entering a sale contract with a Nissan dealer.
Customers will be able to build their Z NISMO online, personalise their vehicle’s colour, choosing from Black Diamond Metallic, Brilliant Silver with a Super Black roof, Everest White with a Super Black Roof, or Stealth Gray with a Black roof.
A reservation deposit of $1,000 will be required but does not guarantee purchase of a vehicle and the fee is fully refundable prior to signing a contract of sale. Reservations are limited to one per customer, and third party resellers will not be eligible.
On the specs front, The Z NISMO will be joined by the 2024 Coupe (now priced at $75,800 plus on-roads), with the latter introducing a striking blue interior treatment choice, joining the standard black and optional black and red trims.
The 2024 Nissan Z also adds New Site Orange as an exterior colour, which joins Rosewood Metallic, Black Diamond Metallic, Gun Metallic, Seiran Blue with Super Black Roof, Ikazuchi Yellow with Super Black Roof, and Everest White Tri Coat with Super Black Roof.
Brilliant Silver with Super Black Roof and Boulder Gray with Super Black Roof are also available. The 2024 Nissan Z is powered by a 3.0-litre twin-turbo petrol V6 (298kW and 475Nm), with the choice of 6-speed manual or 9-speed auto.
The rear-wheel drive sports car features a mechanical limited slip diff, launch control, drive modes in the auto, 19-inch alloy wheels, a 12.3-inch TFT display with multiple modes and 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment, with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Heated front seats with leather-accented seat trim, active noise cancellation and active sound enhancement are also included, along with front and rear parking sensors, intelligent cruise control, predictive forward collision warning and lane departure warning.
You’ll also find forward emergency braking with pedestrian detection, blind spot warning, and rear cross traffic alert on board. The Z NISMO increases power to 309kW and torque to 520Nm, and is offered only with a tuned 9 speed automatic with paddle shifters.
It features new exterior and interior styling, 19-inch Rays wheels, enhanced engine cooling, bigger front brake rotors and a range of NISMO updates, including aerodynamic enhancements, chassis, tyre and wheel enhancements and a Sport+ driving mode.
NISMO-tuned launch control and active sound control are included, along with branded Recaro seats (meaning the heated and powered seats are removed). You can find out more about both variants from you local Nissan dealer.
Update: Nissan Australia’s initial allocation of 100 examples of the Z NISMO has been sold out. It took less than an hour for customers to secure the available vehicles through an online ordering process, locked in via a $1,000 deposit pre-order.
