Subaru is set to expand its electric vehicle with the new Uncharted, a vehicle it says will arrive with the potency and precision of WRX, the balance and corner-carving agility of BRZ and the sure-footed, multi-terrain capability of its SUV range.
Inside, a 14-inch high-definition centre touchscreen puts navigation, media and vehicle settings within immediate reach, while a 7-inch LCD multi-information display keeps critical vehicle data clearly in the driver’s sightline.
A panoramic 360-degree view monitor delivers greater awareness of the vehicle’s surroundings, while wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto sit alongside dual wireless phone chargers.
Physical buttons remain to put tactile control at the fingertips, while multi-colour ambient lighting, a digital rear-view mirror and a 10-speaker Harman Kardon audio system complete a cabin that feels premium.
Underneath is a dual-motor powertrain producing a combined 252kW, working in constant harmony with Subaru’s symmetrical all-wheel drive to distribute power to all four wheels, in real time.

Precise, controlled and confidence-inspiring across wet asphalt, loose gravel or the kind of backroad that does not appear on the map, the Uncharted covers 0 to 100km/h in approximately five seconds, with no lag or hesitation.
A 74.7kWh CATL lithium-ion battery is mounted low within the chassis, lowering the centre of gravity, sharpening the handling and delivering an estimated driving range of up to 522km. An advanced thermal management system helps keep performance consistent too.
When it’s time to recharge, up to 150kW DC fast charging takes the Uncharted from 10 to 80 per cent in around 30 minutes. Outside, its fastback-inspired silhouette and steeply sloping roofline give it the profile of something already in motion too.
Dual-mode X-Mode features grip control, downhill assist control and a multi-terrain monitor to keep the Uncharted composed and confident. With 211mm of ground clearance, it can handle detours. Safety hasn’t been forgotten either.
Subaru Safety Sense actively monitors the road ahead, providing collision avoidance assistance and lane assistance at speed, while vision assist extends that awareness to blind spots, rear cross traffic and safe door opening on busy streets.

A driver monitoring system completes the picture. The new Subaru Uncharted arrives in Australia mid-year in a single, feature-packed variant dubbed simply, the Uncharted AWD, and is priced at $59,990 plus on-roads.
Pre-orders are open through authorised Subaru retailers nationwide or via Subaru.com.au. The Japanese car maker has also announced revised pricing for its other EVs, with the base model Solterra AWD dropping to $61,990. The Touring comes down to $67,990.
The Trailseeker AWD falls to $63,990 (down $4,000), while its Touring variant is now $69,990 – all plus on-roads.
