New ST-L joins Nissan X-Trail e-POWER with e-4ORCE range

Nissan has confirmed a new X-Trail e-POWER with e-4ORCE grade will soon arrive in Australia, with the ST-L to join the Ti and Ti-L in the hybrid range. Launching in the second half of 2023, it sports an extensive equipment list befitting a premium-feeling family SUV.

Priced at $49,490 plus on-roads, it’s powered by Nissan’s e-POWER setup, which combines a 2.1kWh battery, variable compression ratio 1.5-litre turbo-petrol 3-cylinder engine, power generator, inverter and twin electric motors, for 157kW of power.

That’s married to the e-4ORCE 4WD system, a platform which offers faster take-off, linear engine tuning that’s matched to acceleration, constant torque redistribution and near-perfect weight balance.

It offers dual regenerative braking front and rear and is up to 10,000 times faster than mechanical 4WD systems. The new hybrid X-Trail ST-L also features one pedal operation, through e-Pedal Step÷.

In addition, there’s a long list of standard inclusions, like active noise cancelling, privacy glass, a black V-motion grille, fog lights, leather accented steering wheel, 8-way power driver’s seat, heated front seats, and sliding rear seats.

You’ll also find synthetic leather trim, dual-zone climate control, 18-inch alloys, tyre pressure monitoring, digital around view monitor with moving object detection, folding, heated, power mirrors, auto LED headlights and LED taillights.

High-beam assist, four USB ports (two front, two rear), an 8.0-inch infotainment system with DAB+ audio and six speakers, wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, emergency stop signal, and front and rear parking sensors are also included.

Likewise, there’s rear seat alert and ProPilot with lane keep assist. Nissan’s Enhanced Intelligent Mobility suite adds predictive forward collision warning, intelligent cruise control with traffic sign recognition, and lane departure warning and prevention.

Rear cross traffic alert and auto emergency stop with pedestrian and cyclist calibration also feature, as does junction assist and driver attention alert. For further information, contact your local Nissan dealer. If you’re keen on one and need finance, talk to CreditOne.
