New MG3 unveiled at Geneva Motor Show

The MG3 will no longer be one of Australia’s cheapest cars, with the new model, launched overnight at the Geneva Motor Show, expected to carry with it a $5,000 price increase when it arrives down under in mid-2024.

When it does arrive, it will feature a range of enhancements, including new technology, improved safety and a higher specification. Final details of what that might look like will be announced closer to its actual launch.

“MG can confirm that, due to advancements in technology, safety and specification, the new MG3 revealed at the Geneva Motor Show will mean the popular model will no longer be a sub-$20,000 car when it launches in Australia this year,” an MG Motor Australia spokesperson said.

“There will be a price increase of around $5000 associated with the new model, thanks to the introduction of new world-class technology, safety updates and all-new specification.”

With the current MG3 at the end of its lifecycle, existing stock is expected to be run out by the time the new model arrives. For more information on either the existing variants, or the new model, talk to your local MG Motor Australia dealer.
