The street-legal, track-ready Mustang Dark Horse is returning for 2026, with just 500 examples locked in for this year. A strictly limited 250 of those will wear a T8-Spec Pack, developed in partnership with Triple Eight Race Engineering.
Known on track as Red Bull Ampol Racing, the Triple Eight package adds exclusive Avalanche Prestige Paint and is paired solely with a Tremec six-speed manual transmission. It’s equipped with 19×10.5-inch front and 19×11-inch rear alloys wrapped inPirelli P Zero Trofeo RS tyres.
A larger rear spoiler with a Grabber Blue accented gurney flap and an enhanced front aero splitter (provided for track use only) are joined by a revised MagneRide suspension tune, stiffer springs, stiffer roll bars and adjustable top mounts.
These examples feature a black rear applique with Grabber Blue Triple Eight branding, black roof, Notorious Blue Brembo brakes, and unique bonnet decals, while inside, the cockpit features Recaro sports seats with Indigo bolsters and Triple Eight branded scuff plates.
A unique gear shift knob, and a sequentially numbered build plate are included. Every customer who purchases a Mustang Dark Horse with T8-Spec Pack will be invited to an exclusive Track Experience at Queensland Raceway in the first half of 2027 too.
The T8-Spec Pack vehicles are priced at $138,888 plus on-roads. The 2026 Mustang Dark Horse will continue to be powered by a 5.0-litre V8 engine producing 350kW and 550Nm. All examples feature a variant-specific engine tune and Torsen limited slip diff.
The non-T8 Spec Pack Mustang Dark Horse will be available in Oxford White, Race Red, Shadow Black, Carbonized Grey, Vapour Blue, Molten Magenta, Orange Fury, Adriatic Blue, and Blue Ember.
The standard 2026 Mustang Dark Horse is limited to up to 500 vehicles, in manual and automatic, starting at $104,990 plus on-roads. To find out more, contact your local Ford dealership.
