FROM this month, Mitsubishi dealers will be offering the updated 2022 Pajero Sport range, which now includes a new GSR 4WD variant. The distinctive looking new model features unique black interior and exterior accents.
The GSR will represent the new pinnacle model, while the new range will also see the introduction of 2WD drivetrains for the GLX and GLS specifications, delivering a stronger value proposition for the entry level vehicles.
Perfect for families and adventure seekers, the Pajero Sport can meet the daily urban commute as well as road trips, off-road adventures, and towing. In the case of the GSR 4WD, buyers will find black 18-inch alloy wheels, and front and rear bumper garnish.
There’s also a black radiator grille and roof rails, with the GSR available exclusively in just two colours – Black Mica and White Diamond, the latter also featuring a black roof. Like other Pajero Sport 4WD models, the new GSR comes with Mitsubishi’s Super Select II 4WD.
It provides all-terrain capability for ultimate driving performance in all conditions. This advanced system has four drive modes: 2WD High Range, Full Time 4WD and High and Low Range 4WD, with locked centre differential.
Four Off-Road modes are available: Gravel, Mud/Snow, Sand or Rock. These systems deliver optimal traction and stability across the most challenging terrains.
All variants, including the new 2WD GLX and GLS offerings, are powered by a 2.4-litre MIVEC turbocharged diesel engine. Key standard features include forward collision mitigation, and adaptive cruise control for added safety.
Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a driver’s seat with electric lumbar adjustment and climate control for greater comfort in the cabin, are also included.
The 2022 Mitsubishi Pajero Sport GLX (2WD) kicks off the range in 5-seat form at $43,940. The 7-seat GLS (2WD) is $48,690, while the 4WD versions of both variants are $48,940 and $53,690 respectively (all plus on-roads).
A special deluxe edition of the GLS 4WD is also available for $55,940, with the 7-seat Exceed priced at $59,190. The range topping Pajero Sport GSR hits the tarmac at $60,940 (again, plus on-roads). Further details are available from your local Mitsubishi dealer.
