MINI has further complemented its dynamic line-up of special edition Countryman models with introduction of the new Stafford Edition, inspired by MINI’s motor sport heritage and featuring John Cooper Works aesthetic details, inside and out.
Its value offering is bolstered by the addition of luxury and sports packages as standard, delivering customers savings of as much as $4,000 on the Cooper and $7,000 on the Cooper S variants.
MINI has also pioneered a new online configurator for the Stafford Edition Countryman, which allows buyers to customise their favourite options and make an online deposit with the MINI dealer of their choice, without leaving the comfort of home.
The Cooper Countryman Stafford Edition will come wearing the John Cooper Works exterior styling kit, including 18-inch JCW Grip Spoke alloy wheels. There will also be four metallic paint choices; Midnight Black, Light White, Chili Red, and Island Blue.
Inside, you will be able to rest your buttocks in comfort, with carbon black sports seats, while your eyes gaze at the piano black interior, anthracite headliner and panoramic sunroof.
The rest of you will enjoy the climate package and sun protection glazing, as your ears feel the love of your favourite song being pumped through the 410W Harman/Kardon Hi-Fi sound system, with 12 speakers and 8-channel amplifier.
In standard spec, the Stafford Countryman sports a 1.5-litre 3-cylinder petrol engine, pushing out 100kW and 220Nm. MINI claims 6.3-litres/100km fuel consumption. It will hurtle down the road via its front-wheel drive platform to 100km/h in 9.7 seconds.
For the larger Cooper S Countryman Stafford Edition, a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder engine produces 141kW and 280Nm. MINI claims fuel consumption of 6.6-litres/100km. This bad boy is also FWD, but the power gain ensures a 0-100 km/h sprint in 7.5 seconds.
Priced at $47,500 for the Countryman Cooper and $54,900 for the Countryman Cooper S (both plus on-roads), the MINI Countryman Stafford Edition is available at your local MINI dealer now.
