A stylish new addition to the all-electric Mercedes-Benz EQ family has been revealed, with the EQA and EQB 250+ City Edition models unveiled. Both feature a 19-inch AMG bi-colour alloy wheel design, offered for the first time on these variants in Australia.
Paired with comfort suspension, the EQA and EQB 250+ City Edition deliver a smooth and composed ride, and comes loaded with metallic paint, a panoramic sliding sunroof, the keyless-go comfort package, and heated front seats with memory function.
The EQA and EQB 250+ are equipped with a widescreen digital display housing the MBUX infotainment system. That setup includes augmented reality for navigation and a fingerprint scanner for individual driver profiles.
Standard features also include wireless device charging, and smartphone integration via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Ambient lighting, digital radio, and an advanced sound system are included.
Front occupants benefit from Artico man-made leather and microfibre sports-style seats with electric adjustment, while the driver is greeted by a multifunction Nappa leather steering wheel.
Further key highlights include AMG Line exterior styling, dark-tinted heat-insulating glass, LED high performance headlamps with adaptive high beam assist, and a comprehensive driver assistance package.
This includes a 360-degree camera with active parking assist, active distance assist, active lane keeping assist, blind spot assist, the Mercedes-Benz pre-safe package and nine airbags. The EQB 250+ offers additional versatility with a standard third row of seating.
The 7-seat model features a second row with up to 140mm of fore/aft travel to optimise legroom or load space as needed. Both the EQA and EQB 250+ are powered by a single e-motor delivering up to 140kW and 385 Nm, matched with a 70.5kWh battery.
The system provides seamless power delivery, with an NEDC-tested range of 578km for the EQA and 564km for the EQB. The EQA 250+ City Edition is priced at $80,700, while the EQB 250+ City Edition is offered at $85,400 – both plus on-roads.
