Maserati Vulcano erupts onto Australian market

THERE are just seven examples of the new 2019 Maserati Levante Vulcano special edition SUV coming to Australia, from a total of 150 produced, offering a unique version of the Italian luxury performance vehicle.

The Maserati Levante Vulcano is recognisable thanks to its matte Grigio Lava paint finish and a choice of red Pieno Fiore leather with black stitching or black Pieno Fiore leather with red stitching for the interior.

Based on the Levante GranSport, the Vulcano’s exterior uses the Nerissimo Collection with dark look rear light clusters, black chrome front grille and logos, gloss black window surrounds, body-coloured door handles and burnished exhaust tailpipes.

There are laminated privacy windows and the matte finish of the body extends to the 21-inch Helios wheels. The red brake calipers have the six-piston Brembo Dual Cast braking system fitted as well.

Inside the new Levante Vulcano there are heated and ventilated Pieno Fiore leather sports seats, featuring electrical adjustment with memories and with contrasting embroidered Trident logo on the headrests.

High gloss carbon fibre is used on the electrically adjustable sport steering wheel and gearshift paddles, while the interior is finished with a chromed aluminium badge on the centre console bearing the Trident, the Vulcano logo and the words “one of 150”.

The Vulcano is fitted with the Bowers&Wilkins premium sound system, soft close door closure system, front and rear parking sensors and full-LED Matrix adaptive headlights.

It’s powered a 350hp (261kW) twin-turbo V6 engine with 500Nm of torque, and can accelerate to 100km/h in six seconds, with a top speed of 251km/h.

The Maserati Levante Vulcano uses Q4 Intelligent All-Wheel-Drive with rear limited-slip differential and suspension that includes adjustable air springs and skyhook shock absorbers.

It offers handling biased towards the rear with the four wheel drive system coming into action when required, enabling the Levante to traverse difficult conditions. The 2019 Maserati Levante Vulcano is priced at $184,990 plus on-roads.
