Lexus creates UX 250h F Sport Design special edition

An eye-catching F Sport Design special edition has joined the stylish Lexus UX SUV range. Available in local showrooms from mid-April, the exclusive 250h front-wheel drive model will be priced from $58,120 plus on-road costs and is limited to just 250 examples.

It features unique exterior and interior enhancements, including bespoke front and rear bumpers, grille, 18-inch wheels with run-flat tyres and an F-Sport Design badge. It also gains black roof rails and exterior mirror caps, and body-coloured wheel arches.

For the first time on UX, there’s a two-tone roof as well. Inside, the special variant adds a moon roof, colour head-up display and smart key card. Six exclusive two-tone exterior colour finishes will be available.

These include White Nova, Sonic Chrome, Sonic Iridium, Caliente, Carnelian and Cobalt Mica. NuLuxe leather-accented upholstery can be finished in Black or White Ash hues, paired with high-quality Washi paper ornamentation.

In building upon the already strong specification of the UX 250h 2WD Luxury + EP2, the F Sport Design special edition comes standard with a wireless phone charger, heated seats with eight-way adjustable driver’s seat, and a power tailgate.

The former features wireless Apple CarPlay, wired Android Auto and DAB+ digital radio. Power for the UX 250h 2WD F Sport Design comes from the Lexus Hybrid Drive, teaming a 2.0-litre petrol engine and electric motor on the front axle.

With 107kW/188Nm from the petrol engine and 80kW/202Nm from the electric motor, combined peak power output is 135kW, with an average combined fuel consumption of 4.5-litres/100km.

Like the rest of the UX range, the UX 250h 2WD F Sport Design special edition offers complimentary Lexus Connected Services, including a smartphone app that provides information, and can even lock and unlock the doors remotely.

A three-year subscription to the Lexus Encore owner benefits program is also included; offering capped-price servicing, 24-hour roadside assistance, complimentary loan vehicles when your car is being serviced, and a wealth of other owner benefits.
