THINGS just got a little more intense for fans of the flagship LC range from Lexus, with the coupe scoring a special exterior colour and opulent interior appointments in a limited edition model to be known as the Inspiration Series.
The 2020 Lexus LC Inspiration Series is designed to appeal to the sense of touch, with a unique interior that features contrasting leathers for the upholstery and trim in the ultra-exclusive variant, with less than ten examples headed for Australia.
The striking interior of the LC Inspiration Series features 12-way power-adjustable front seats and L-Aniline leather, the softest and highest-grade leather available in the Lexus line-up.
Available on the LC for the first time, L-Aniline is made using only the top one per cent of carefully selected hide and undergoes a special tanning process to ensure maximum softness.
Also offered on the LC for the first time, tan-coloured seats and centre console trim contrast with a darker shade of Alcantara trim on the door panels, and black leather accents for the steering wheel, dashboard, seat bolsters and centre console.
Flowing perforations and beautiful stitching linking the different finishes reflect Lexus Takumi (expert) craftsmanship, giving the cabin a lavish ambiance.
Tech heads will be excited that the LC Inspiration Series marks the introduction of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, which will be rolled out as a standard inclusion across the range from this month.
The range-wide adoption of enhanced smartphone integration further complements the expansive 12.3-inch centre display, satellite navigation, voice control, DAB+ digital radio and 13-speaker Mark Levinson audio system standard on all LC grades.
Exclusive to the LC Inspiration Series though is a distinctive exterior paint – a shade of subtle green known as Khaki Metal. The LC Inspiration Series can also be specified in Graphite Black and Titanium, but really, why would you.
The perfect finishing touch to the limited edition model is customised scuff plates – a subtle reminder of rarity every time an owner opens the door. The sumptuous interior amplifies the intricate design of the LC coupe and its cutting-edge technology.
The LC Inspiration Series matches the luxury equipment and power train specification of existing models in the LC range.
It includes 21-inch forged alloy wheels with a two-tone finish, LED headlights, a colour head-up display, Lexus Safety System+ (LSS+), dual-zone climate control with nanoe technology and Climate Concierge, glass roof and aluminium pedals.
The LC 500h is powered by the world’s first multi-stage hybrid system, which features a 3.5-litre V6 petrol engine and advanced electric motor. The LC 500 is powered by the Lexus 5.0-litre V8 petrol engine with a direct shift 10-speed automatic transmission.
The 2020 Lexus LC 500 Inspiration Series is available for $205,512 plus on-roads. The 2020 Lexus LC 500h Inspiration Series could be yours for $206,070, again, plus on-roads.
