THE astounding Lamborghini Huracán EVO V10 has a sibling, with the Italian car maker revealing the soft-top version of the 5.2-litre naturally aspirated coupe, ahead of its Geneva International Motor Show debut.
The new model, capable of a 0-100km/h sprint in 3.1 seconds, with a top speed of 325km/h, is powered by an engine derived from the Huracán Performante, producing 477kW of power and 600Nm of torque.
Designed to maintain aerodynamic superiority with the roof up or down, the lighweight electro-hydraulic soft-top offers that pure Spyder feeling, while adopting the next-generation vehicle dynamic control and aerodynamics developed for the coupé.
Those specs ensure it is capable of 0-200km/h in an insane 9.3 seconds. For anyone more concerned about the technical specifications, it also comes with an upgraded infotainment system, and improved safety features.
“The Huracán EVO Spyder incorporates all the performance, next-generation vehicle control and aerodynamic features of the EVO coupé, with its own unique personality and a driving excitement that only an open-top car can offer,” says Stefano Domenicali, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Automobili Lamborghini.
“The Spyder continues the Huracán EVO’s evolutionary charge: extremely easy to drive while excelling as a highly responsive, fun super sports car,” he said.
“Particularly with the roof open, the emotive sound of the naturally aspirated engine and the refined, lightweight exhaust system take the sensory experience to a new level,” he added.
“The Huracán EVO Spyder’s design, performance and exhilarating open-air drive experience is literally breath-taking.”
Detailed launch dates will be announced during the launch next month, with Australian availability and pricing to be provided after the Geneva International Motor Show.
