Kia EV9 reveal showcases a sophisticated future

Kia has revealed the latest addition to its SUV line-up with the unveiling of the EV9, a people mover that combines rugged capability for a variety of conditions, and the serene calmness and sophistication of a luxury electric vehicle.

The exterior design encompasses the signature digital tiger front face with star map LED daytime running lights, with a polygonal design language for the side profile. At the rear, the simple clean lines of the tailgate are elegantly detailed by slim rear lights.

Providing an almost futuristic look outside, that concept continues inside. To be offered as a six or seven seater, the EV9 features reclining functions in both the front and middle rows, as well as the ability to swivel row two 180-degrees to face the third row.

Based on the concept of providing a much more engaging and enjoyable travel experience, the EV9 features a completely flat floor thanks to Kia’s Electric Global Modular Platform. In a nice touch, all three rows have cup holders and media charging points as well.

Up front, there’s cutting edge infotainment and instrumentation technology, with dual 12.3-inch screens that start behind the steering wheel and finish in the vehicle’s centre. There is also an additional 5.0-inch segmental display for effortless function control.
