Hyundai announces i30 N Drive-N Limited Edition

Hyundai has unveiled an exclusive, special version of its high-performance hot hatch, the i30 N. Known as the i30 N Drive-N Limited Edition, it takes the driving experience, look and feel of the current model, and turns it up to 11.

Expected to arrive locally in Q4 2022, just 180 examples (from a total of 800) will be headed to Australia. Of those, 70 per cent will sport the DCT transmission, with the remainder in manual form.

To develop the i30 N Drive-N Limited Edition, Hyundai enhanced the existing Premium (sunroof) variant, adding 19-inch forged alloy wheels in a dark bronze matte finish, black Hyundai badges, and special decals on the side, front and rear.

Two dedicated Drive-N badges in dark bronze matte adorn the side fenders. The badges on the i30 N Drive‑N Limited Edition also display the GPS coordinates of the home of the N models, the Hyundai Motor Europe Test Centre at Nürburgring in Germany.

The interior of each vehicle is outfitted with a unique numbered badge. Instead of leather, Alcantara with red stitching will cover the steering wheel, gear lever, armrest, and handbrake. All accents decorating the interior will be in red colour.

This applies to the seat belts in the front and rear, the steering wheel N buttons, and the inserts and stitching of the N Light seats, with a new pattern. The i30 N Drive-N Limited Edition also has exclusive floor mats with specific lettering.

In addition to this all-new look, the i30 N Drive-N Limited Edition will come fully equipped, including a rear stiffness bar, a glass roof, and an extensive list of Hyundai Smart Sense active safety features.

Available in two colours, Phantom Black Pearl and the new Serenity White Pearl, the i30 N Drive-N Limited Edition features a 206kW ‘flat power’ tuned engine, with maximum torque of 392Nm.

As with the existing i30 N, the N DCT version features three N performance functions for an even sportier experience; N Power Shift, N Grin Shift, and N Track Sense Shift.
