When the fourth generation of Nissan’s iconic X-Trail arrives in Australia in the coming weeks, it will bring with it a rugged eye-catching design, comfort and convenience. For the first time ever, there’ll also be a hybrid option.
Sitting alongside its internal combustion engine offering will be the X-Trail e-POWER with e-4ORCE. The unique system sees the driven wheels being powered only by an electric motor, so response is instant, linear and smooth.
The power for the electric motor is generated by a new advanced variable compression turbo-charged petrol engine which runs quietly in the background to feed the battery, which then supplies power to the electric motor via an inverter.
A new twin motor all-wheel drive system designed to work with Nissan’s electrified 4WD powertrains. e-4ORCE will deliver reassuring traction and confident acceleration in all conditions thanks to Nissan’s most advanced all-wheel control technology.
Comfort and convenience is central to life with the all-new X-Trail with rear doors that open to 85 degrees. There’s an abundance of storage options around the cabin too, tri-zone air conditioning for rear comfort, and USB A and C chargers front and rear.
The new X-Trail is also equipped with a comprehensive suite of intuitive technology which simplifies life for the driver and passenger. Notably, reassurance will come from the availability of Nissan’s driver assistance system ProPilot.
It’s designed to reduce fatigue and stress while driving, offering warnings and intervention in the case of unforeseen hazards. A key safety feature is the inclusion of a heas-up display.
From September 2022, Australian customers can visit the Nissan website to initiate the pre-order process and explore the different options that the X-Trail with e-POWER and e-4FORCE offers.
The X-Trail e-POWER will be available as standard with the e-4ORCE 4WD system in both Ti and Ti-L grades. It will be offered five seat configuration only. Deliveries will commence in early 2023 and pricing will be released in the coming months.
Deliveries of the new Nissan X-Trail with an internal combustion engine will begin in Q4, 2022. If you’re keen on one, and need finance, talk to CreditOne.
