Hot Wheels unveils F1 collection ahead of Australian Grand Prix

Following the announcement of an exciting multi-year partnership deal with Formula 1, Mattel has revealed that the Hot Wheels F1 Collection is set to launch in Australia, with pre-orders to open soon.

Unveiled ahead of the 2025 Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix, the range brings to life eight teams across Hot Wheels singles, 5-pack assortments and premium products. Each 1:64 die-cast car is built to race on the iconic Hot Wheels orange track too.

The premium cars feature intricate details to replicate an actual F1 car, including a metal body and chassis, authentic team liveries and Pirelli branded tires to further bring the car to life.

Aussie fans unable to make it to the track can feel the speed of Formula 1 at home with the
Hot Wheels Sprint and Grand Prix Race Circuit track sets, to be released globally at major retailers this spring.

Racers will battle to overtake each other in high-octane racing on the sets equipped with either a kid-powered gas pedal booster or two-speed three-lane booster and manual DRS diverters, to give the car an extra edge.

“Hot Wheels is proud to be partnering with Formula 1, as the world’s most high-octane racing series comes to Australia,” APAC senior director of marketing at Mattel, Tim Nolan said.

“Formula 1 creates such an electric atmosphere for racing fans across the country, and we’re looking forward to Hot Wheels fuelling excitement in the leadup to the Australian Grand Prix.”

Formula 1 chief commercial officer Emily Prazer described the partnership with Mattel and the cars release as fantastic.

“We want to increase our fans’ passion for racing, and these superbly and intricately designed cars will allow Australian fans to experience the drama and excitement of our exciting sport at home.”

Pre-order for the Hot Wheels Formula 1 2025 collection will be available soon, with more information available at https://shop.mattel.com.au/pages/hot-wheels-f1
