Honda has announced some exciting revisions for its 2026 lineup, including the introduction of the eagerly awaited sports tourer, the CB1000GT. A bevy of models score the brand’s E-Clutch, and there’s a few new things still being considered.
“We are excited to be able to announce that Australian riders will soon be able to experience the thrills of Honda’s all new CB1000GT sports touring motorcycle, built on the award winning CB1000 Hornet platform.”
So says Honda Australia’s general manager of powersports and products, Chris Schultz. “We believe that this nails the brief of the ultimate high-performance tourer that’s truly fitting for some of the most amazing roads that Australia has to offer.”
To be offered here in Grand Prix Red, the bike’s final specs and local pricing are yet to be confirmed. E-Clutch technology, which allows the rider to shift up or down, or come to a stop or pull away, without the need for a clutch lever, will feature on five models.

The system has been available on the CB650R and CBR650R in current trim, and for 2026, those two bikes will be joined by the NX500 and both the XL750 Transalp and CB750 Hornet. The latter two motorcycles also gain throttle-by-wire for the first time.
“We are delighted in the number of customers that have chosen our unique E-Clutch technology so far in Australia,” Schultz said. “This demonstrates that customers truly want the freedom to ride in the way that suits their mindset the best.”
The recently revealed CB1000 Hornet-based CB1000F has not yet been confirmed for Australian market, but is being given serious consideration, alongside the electric WN7 EV. And finally, new colours will adorn a number of 2026 offerings.
That includes the CB500 Hornet, CBR500R, GL1800 Goldwing range, NT1100, CB650R, CBR650R. To find out more about Honda’s 2026 motorcycle range you can visit the website, or contact your local dealer.
