Honda has revealed the first images of the all-new Civic five-door hatchback, the 11th-generation of the brand’s iconic small car, as part of an online world premiere event streamed on the official Honda YouTube channel.
With a coupe-like profile inspired by European sportbacks, the new Civic hatch builds upon the fresh and sophisticated exterior design direction seen on the 11th-generation Civic sedan, with unique styling cues to give it an even sportier attitude.
By evoking the human-centred cabin design of early generations of the Civic, the interior of the new hatch is simple, clean and uncluttered with exceptional visibility, intuitive ergonomics, extraordinary passenger volume and driver-focused technology.
Available at launch with an uprated version of the current 1.5-litre VTEC turbo engine, the advanced e:HEV (hybrid electric vehicle) powertrain is set to follow in 2022 and will join the Civic line-up in Australia.

The Civic continues to be an important nameplate for Honda in Australia and the next generation builds on almost 50 years of heritage, delivering the usability, comfort and visual appeal the model is renowned for.
It also promises driving enthusiasts an even more dynamic experience, with ride and handling fine-tuned in Europe.
Since its launch in 1972, the Civic series has become a global success that is sold in over 170 countries, with total sales exceeding 27 million units worldwide.
Honda’s Civic has always been at the forefront of small car trends and is constantly evolving to capture customer needs and deliver an enjoyable ownership experience.
The new Civic hatch is scheduled to go on sale in Australia in the fourth quarter of 2021.
