Honda Australia has confirmed pricing for its first battery electric vehicle, the super fun, Super-ONE. Slotting into the range just above the high-value HR-V Vi X, it’s designed to inject joy and character into driving an EV.
To be offered in two grades, pricing starts at $36,900 for the entry level variant. The range topper, dubbed the Two-Tone, adds adds a special-edition two-tone Violet Boost exterior colour with a blackout roof for $37,400 – both drive away.
Pricing confirmation comes following a groundswell of interest from Australian drivers, with an Expressions of Interest (EOI) campaign that has to date attracted over 6,500 sign-ups – more than the revered and iconic Honda Civic Type R FL5.
Based on the Japan-only N-One e: kei car, Honda Super-ONE presents truly unique and striking kerb appeal, despite its diminutive stature at only 3.5m long. Its boxy, retro styling inspired by the 1980’s Honda City Turbo II is enhanced by small cues.
That includes enlarged wheel arches, a roof spoiler, and black wheels. Key to the Super-ONE’s appeal is its light weight (just 1,093kg) and selection of drive modes, including BOOST, which transforms the car into a fun machine.
It lifts power from 47kW to 70kW, with 162Nm torque, and simulates a 7-speed transmission that mimics the shift feel of a traditional gearbox. Active Sound Control plays a synthesised, engine-like soundtrack through the cabin in response to how you’re driving.
Designed for urban driving, Honda Super-ONE’s 29.6kWh Lithium-ion battery pack, paired with its advanced regenerative braking system and one-pedal driving mode, helps it achieve a range of up to 253km.
Practical features include Honda’s “magic” seats, a front-grille-located charging port and the capability of charging to 80 per cent in just 30 minutes. Pre-orders are officially open at Honda dealerships. Less than 130 examples will be available this year.
Customer deliveries will commence in October, with more stock expected early in 2027. It’s backed by a 5-year warranty, 5-years roadside assist and 5-years low-price servicing, with an additional 3-year warranty and roadside assist available via Honda Extend.
