Honda price promise to deliver certainty and value for customers

HONDA Australia has released details of its new ‘Honda Price Promise’, which will deliver certainty of price and added value for customers around the country when it goes live on 1 July 2021, with the launch of the company’s new business model.

The Honda Price Promise is a key pillar of Honda Australia’s comprehensive restructure, which has been designed to transform the business from a volume-driven operation to a leading customer experience brand.

“Many businesses outside of automotive have already realised an end-to-end customer experience that is simple, trusted and enjoyable, is the key to future success,” Honda Australia director Stephen Collins said.

“Brand experience and ‘moments that matter’ are the new competitive battleground, which is why we have shifted our focus from the auto industry norm of chasing volume, to prioritising a quality customer experience and delivering it at the retail level.”

Under the new business model, a customer will pay the same national drive away price for their new Honda vehicle, regardless of which Honda Centre they visit.

Whether the customer is at a Honda Centre in Albany in the far west, Alice Springs in the red centre or Zetland in metropolitan Sydney, the Honda Price Promise means they will be offered certainty of price for their new vehicle.

From Bundaberg to Burnie, the ‘no haggle’ policy for new car pricing will ensure a simpler, more transparent and enjoyable purchase experience from start to finish, while alleviating some of the pressures and anxiety that can be associated with the sales process.

Under the new business model, the previous Manufacturer’s List Price has been replaced with a National Drive Away price, which includes all on-road costs and statutory charges, as well as the metallic or pearlescent paint colour chosen by the customer.

The only items not included in the new vehicle price are any Honda genuine accessories selected by the customer to personalise their vehicle.

A new finance partner has also been appointed as part of the shift to the new business model, with products that strongly align with Honda’s enhanced focus on customer experience and empowerment.

With an application process that’s all online to make it completely seamless, everything gets evaluated in real-time, while you wait. In a short period, the customer could go from uploading documents to getting approved for a loan.

Not only does it speed things up and save paper, but it’s also much more efficient, helping to keep costs down and rates nice and low. It’s a ‘win-win’ for everyone. For further information, please contact your local Honda dealer.
