Honda grows its CR-V line-up with two new variants

Honda is expanding its popular CR-V line-up with the addition of two new variants, including a VTi based Black Edition, and a VTi 7 +Luxe offering. Both will continue to use the 1.5-litre VTEC turbo engine that spans the range.

Each comes with smart keyless entry, push button start, a 7.0-inch colour touchscreen infotainment system, with Apply CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as the Honda SENSING suite of driver assist and safety technologies.

The Black Edition includes an extensive list of additional features borrowed from the X and L variants, such as LED headlights with active cornering, heated front leather appointed seats and 18-inch alloy wheels.

It also comes with a raft of bespoke Black Edition aesthetic touches, including new gloss black wheels, smoked headlights and piano black or trivalent chromium finishes around the exterior.

The interior gets “Black Edition” stitched into the seats and piano black trims applied to the steering wheel, audio surround, gearshift, ventilation controls and doors. There is also a Darkwood treatment applied to the centre console, door and dash inlays.

Available in Crystal Black or Platinum White pearlescent paints, it’s set to be offered nationally at $44,600 drive away. Joining the Black Edition is the VTi 7 +Luxe, designed to carry the whole family in exceptional levels of comfort.

This model includes heated leather front seats with eight-way electronic adjustment and two position memory, borrowed from the higher L AWD variant. It also includes dual zone climate control, and vents for the third-row passengers.

Four ports for USB connectivity and a multi angle reversing camera and tyre pressure monitoring system are also added. The +Luxe variant comes in five metallic colours, including Ignite Red, Cosmic Blue, Lunar Silver and Meteoroid Grey.

This model will be available from $43,700 drive away nationwide. For further information, contact your local Honda dealer. If you’re keen on one, and need finance, visit CreditOne.
