Hit the trail

SUZUKI has taken the wraps off a brand new transition bike, to help young riders make the jump from mini bikes to full size trial bike riding, with the addition of the DR200S to the 2015 model range.

The perfect stepping stone for riders progressing from a mini bike to an entry level recreational trail bike or new riders keen to explore the fruits of what spirited trail riding has to offer.

Powered by a 199cm3 single-cylinder air-cooled four-stroke engine, the DR200S features good torque and horsepower on hand to suit rider capabilities, a push-button electric start (no more kick-starting), solid fuel economy (44.9km/L), and a range of rider comforts, including telescopic front fork suspension and a pre-load adjustable single rear shock absorber (providing 205mm of wheel travel both front and rear).

A front disc brake and proven rear drum brake provide all the stopping power, with racy bodywork inspired by the high-performance championship-winning RM-Z series and the low seat height of just 845mm ensuring even riders shorter in stature will be able to swing a leg over the saddle.

The all-new Suzuki DR200S will go on sale in February, for a recommended retail price of $4,990 in Champion Yellow No. 2 and Solid Black colour schemes and is backed by Suzuki’s 12-month, unlimited kilometre warranty.
