ITALIAN car maker Alfa Romeo has used the LA Auto Show to reveal its first ever crossover, to be known as the Stelvio, it will hit the Australian market in 2018.
Powered by a 375kW 2.9-litre V6 BiTurbo petrol engine with an 8-speed automatic transmission, the ground-breaking SUV features a real time managed drive distribution system, torque vectoring technology and integrated braking.
Riding on AlfaLink suspension, the premium mid-size SUV is expected to set a new benchmark in performance when it faces off against a growing number of luxury brands in an already crowded space. Alfa Romeo has confirmed a 206kW 2-litre turbo petrol version of the Stelvio will also be available.
