THE 2021 Haval H6, destined for Australian showrooms in early April, will consist of a three grade line-up starting from $30,990 (drive away) for the feature packed H6 Premium, powered by a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine.
With an extensive list of standard features complementing a design led by world-renowned Chief Designer Phil Simmons, the 2021 Haval H6 Premium immediately sets itself apart from your regular SUV.
With a powerplant that’s paired with a 7-speed dual clutch transmission, it’s more advanced in every way over the model it replaces. It’s also the first of a new generation of Haval SUVs that are expected to significantly grow the brand’s reputation in Australia.
Standard features on Haval H6 Premium include 18-inch alloy wheels, LED headlamps, DRL, tail-lights, and rear fog lamps, 10.25-inch colour LED instrument cluster, and a 10.25-inch colour multimedia touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The H6 Premium is fitted with seven airbags, and comes with autonomous emergency braking with pedestrian and bicycle detection, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, traffic sign recognition, and lane change assist with blind spot monitoring.
It also features driver fatigue monitoring, reverse camera, rear parking sensors and a tyre pressure monitor. It is rare for entry-grade medium SUVs to be offered with such an extensive list of features at this price point and is another statement of intent from GWM.
Complementing the new lightweight, global modular platform and driver-focussed technology on which the H6 is based, GWM Haval’s focus on offering value to all customers remains unchanged.
This can also be seen from the other models in the H6 line-up, which consists of the mid-grade Lux and the range-topping Ultra. The Lux adds front LED fog lamps, roof rails, and a leather steering wheel.
It also comes with comfortek eco-leather seats (heated in front with 6-way electrically adjustable driver’s seat with lumbar), dual-zone climate control, 8 speaker DTS audio, electronic anti-glare rear-view mirror, and adaptive cruise control with stop and go.
Intelligent cruise assist, traffic jam assist, and a 360 degree camera also feature. For the Haval H6 Ultra, customers can expect 19-inch alloy wheels, a panoramic sunroof, electric tailgate, 12.3-inch colour multimedia touchscreen, and a head-up display.
A heated steering wheel, wireless charging, 4-way electrically adjustable front passenger’s seat, heated and ventilated front seats, rear cross traffic alert with brake and fully automatic parking complete the standard features.
It truly is safe to say that the 2021 Haval H6 range is jam packed full of technology, safety and comfort. At this price point Haval is on course to shake up the SUV market, and see its competitors scramble to compete.
