Harley-Davidson have unveiled a portion of their 2022 model lineup to the public, while the remaining bikes will be announced during the “Further Faster” world premiere on January 26.
The newly revealed 2022 models are expected to hit Harley-Davidson dealerships globally in the coming weeks, including the recently launched Sportster S. The Pan America adventure bike receives a new colour option too, in the form of Fastback Blue/White Sand.
The bike maker also took the covers off the 2022 Softail Standard, Heritage Classic 114, Street Bob 114, Fat Boy 114, Fat Bob 114, Sport Glide, and Breakout 114. Most notably, there is no mention of the Low Rider S or Slim as yet.
Revisions for the 2022 Softails include new paint schemes and a host of new rim options, with laced rims now deleted on all but the Heritage.
That bike though receives the biggest overhaul in the line-up. For 2022, the Heritage Classic 114 model will be offered with a new Chrome trim option for the rider who prefers a brighter look.
The Black trim version also features several new styling elements. The powertrain is finished with Wrinkle Black upper rocker covers, camshaft
cover, transmission cover and primary cover, with contrasting Gloss Black lower rocker covers.
Trim details include a Gloss Black rear lightbar, windshield brackets, front lightbar
and turn signal standoffs, Black mirrors and triple clamps, Black Anodised wheel hubs and hub cap, and Matte Black exhaust shields with Chrome muffler tips.
The Heritage Classic 114 model in Chrome trim is offered with Black 9-Spoke cast aluminium or Chrome Laced wheels, while the Black trim version is offered with Black 9-Spoke cast aluminium or Black Laced wheels.
Touring models will remain mostly unchanged, except for colour variations. Confirmed in the line-up for 2022 are The Road King Special, Street Glide Special, Road Glide Special and the Ultra Limited.
Harley-Davidson have also confirmed the continuation of the Freewheeler Trike and Tri Glide Ultra Trike. The Freewheeler will see an additional two-tone paint scheme Midnight Crimson/Vivid Black.
The Tri Glide Ultra will also receive the aforementioned paint scheme and and a Gauntlet Gray Metallic/Vivid Black paint scheme, as well as an intricate Cloisonné tank medallion in Chrome with Black and Red Glass fill.
Most of the new models will be available in three colour variations, significantly fewer for some models than what has been previously available. It is expected that limited edition CVO models, and missing Softail models, including the Low Rider S, will be launched during the January 26 event.
