HARLEY-Davidson have announced a new mid-season 1250 motorcycle reveal, dubbed ‘From Evolution to Revolution’, with the virtual launch experience to be held on 14 July at 1am (AEST) or 3am (NZST).
The new model follows on from the arrival of the Harley-Davidson Pan America 1250 Special, launched in Australia last month. Featuring Harley-Davidson’s new Revolution Max powertrain, the Pan America is now in dealerships around the world.
“Following the successful launch of our first adventure touring motorcycle, the Pan America, we are excited to reveal another all-new motorcycle,” Harley-Davidson chairman, president and CEO Jochen Zeitz said.
“[It’s] built on the Revolution Max platform in the sport segment, showcasing unmatched Harley-Davidson technology, performance and style.”
The reveal event will preview details of the new motorcycle model and will include presentations by Harley-Davidson leadership and product experts, along with its team of passion riders who are helping develop this new bike.
To support the launch, Harley-Davidson have released a teaser video of what the new model will look like, and it’s already drawing comparisons to the leaked 1250 Custom images that came to light some time ago.
Although there has been no official word on the naming of the new model, it appears it will take the place of the outgoing Sportster in the Harley-Davidson model line up.
If we were speculating, a roadster based on the same powerplant as the Pan America 1250 Special makes sense, and would continue the evolution of the company’s brand direction.
