Harley-Davidson’s Grit Adventure pants are the next piece of gear we’re testing as part of the Exhaust Notes Australia Pan America experience. Designed for a combination of comfort and safety, these pants definitely hit the brief.
Finished in the signature Grit green that is featured throughout the range, the pants look smart while remaining completely functional for their intended riding purpose. Like all items in this product series, Harley-Davidson have teamed with REV’IT.
Constructed from 100 per cent polyester ripstop shell and featuring REV’IT Seeflex CE Level 2 protectors at the hips and knees, the PW Shell 500D textile offers tremendous tear and abrasion resistance, and excellent durability.
One of our favourite features of these pants is the lower leg fastening system which allows you to secure the pants on the outside of your adventure boots, a feature that is not available on most similar products, and a first for us.

The Harley-Davidson Grit adventure pants also feature a removeable thermal liner that can be combined with the included waterproof liner. Both are relatively easy to take in and out too.
To prove they work, we got caught in a storm while testing our gear and the pants did a commendable job keeping us dry. Just as important as keeping dry and warm, the Grit adventure pants also offer excellent ventilation in warmer conditions.
Mechanical fasteners can be opened and closed easily with one gloved hand and can be secured in a desired open position. Available in sizes from 30-42 for men (there’s also a women’s range), they’re priced from $565.
Available online at the Harley-Davidson website, we recommend shopping around to find a better price, like we did (as low as $500).
