GMSV has headed to the spiritual home of motor racing in Australia, making their way to Bathurst and in the process marking the first time the new brand has been able to venture outside of Victoria with a full model portfolio.
Following a year disrupted by Covid-19 and travel restrictions, the inaugural visit to Mt Panorama will feature a number of firsts and its many passionate enthusiasts – whether they be fans of big trucks or high-end performance supercars.
“It’s fantastic to finally be able to showcase our entire range to Corvette and Silverado fans,” GMSV ANZ director Joanne Stogiannis said.
“We couldn’t think of a better opportunity to take the show on the road for our first-ever trip to Bathurst and this great race,” she added.
“This trip doubles as the public debut of the new Chevrolet Silverado Heavy Duty LTZ Premium and is the first occasion all three right-hand-drive C8 Corvettes in Australia, a Torch Red 3LT Convertible and two 3LT Coupe – one in Rapid Blue and the other Hypersonic Grey – will be out and about at a major event together,” Ms Stogiannis said.
To mark the first-time arrival of GMSV at Bathurst, a special public viewing opportunity of the new right-hand-drive C8 has been arranged at the National Motor Racing Museum for the week of racing.
The GMSV display trackside will feature a Silverado LTZ Premium, LT Trail Boss and the biggest Chevrolet available for sale in Australia and New Zealand – the Heavy Duty LTZ Premium.
One of the Silverado’s will be set up to demonstrate its ‘invisible trailer’ feature which, thanks to the use of two strategically mounted cameras, creates and processes images which make the item being towed disappear from view.
Different models from GMSV will also be involved in on-track displays during the weekend – as well as some appearances around Bathurst town itself.
“We’ve been waiting for 12-months to introduce our new models to GMSV fans, and Bathurst is the perfect opportunity to do so.”
