Genesis has given their G80 a bit of a nip and tuck, revealing a new look for 2024 that showcases the brand’s “Athletic Elegance” design philosophy. The new model marks the first changes in nearly four years to the current generation luxury sedan.
A dual-mesh design for the crest grille and rear exhaust accents, which are now similarly V-shaped both feature, while new two-line headlamps are equipped with Genesis’ Micro Lens Array (MLA) technology.
20-inch wheels feature a five double-spoke design, reminiscent of an aircraft propeller. Inside, the G80 is a continuation of Genesis’ concept of “the Beauty of white space”.
A 27-inch OLED display brings the instruments and multimedia together, extending across to the centre fascia. The HVAC system is touch-based for ease of control while the crystal-like shift-by-wire has been redesigned for a more comfortable grip.
Genesis also revealed images of the G80 Sport which features a double-layered G-matrix crest grille, and larger air intakes, pointing to its high-performance image. The exterior exudes sportiness with updated bumpers, diffusers and a black garnish at the rear.
Exclusive interior packages come with the G80 Sport, including a flat-bottom (D-cut) steering wheel and carbon garnish available in red or silver. Both the G80 and G80 Sport are available in 10 exterior colours, including the newly added Brooklyn Brown.
Four interior colour options are also available. Genesis plans to reveal more detailed specifications closer to the official launch date. For more information, contact your local Genesis dealer. If you’re keen on one and need finance, talk to CreditOne.
